There is no general minimum contractual commitment beyond the billing period purchased, unless otherwise specified in an individual service agreement.

Recurring services must be paid before their applicable due dates.

Where automatic renewal is enabled, charges may be processed using the authorized payment method.

Unless different terms apply to the purchased product or applicable law requires otherwise:

  • Day 0: The invoice reaches its due date.
  • Day 1: Unpaid hosting services may be suspended.
  • Day 7: Unpaid hosting services may be terminated and associated data deleted.

Customers should maintain independent backups before any service reaches its termination date.

Domain expiration, renewal, redemption, and deletion follow the applicable domain registry’s policies and may differ from these hosting timelines.

Where practicable, iHost.al may issue billing and suspension notifications, but customers remain responsible for tracking their payment obligations.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Resource usage exceeding purchased limits
  • Additional IP addresses
  • Additional storage or bandwidth
  • Paid backup restoration

  • Custom configurations
  • Special migration requests

Such charges will be governed by the agreed pricing, service description, or a separately accepted quotation.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 General Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital infrastructure, server provisioning, domain registration, licensing, and resource allocation, iHost.al generally does not offer voluntary refunds once a service has been provisioned or activated.

However, this policy does not exclude refunds, withdrawal rights, or other remedies required by applicable consumer protection laws.

3.2 Non-Refundable Services

Subject to applicable law and any expressly advertised refund guarantee, the following are generally non-refundable:

  • Domain registrations and renewals
  • Domain transfers once initiated or completed
  • Dedicated server setup and provisioning fees
  • Custom server configurations
  • Third-party software licenses
  • Promotional or discounted services
  • Service renewal payments
  • Used service periods
  • Additional resources already provisioned
  • Security and reactivation fees

3.3 Consumer Rights

Where applicable law grants a consumer a right to withdraw from a distance contract or request a refund, iHost.al will respect that right.

Any exception relating to immediate performance of a service or digital content must satisfy applicable legal requirements, including any necessary express consent and acknowledgment.

3.4 Cancellation Requests

Customers may request cancellation through the official client area or by submitting a support request through an authorized account.

Client Area: https://my.ihost.al

Cancellation does not automatically result in a refund.

If a customer no longer wishes to continue a service, cancellation should be requested before the next applicable renewal.

3.5 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact the billing department before initiating a payment dispute.

Fraudulent payment activity, unauthorized transactions, or misuse of payment systems may lead to service restrictions during investigation.

Legitimate statutory rights to dispute transactions remain unaffected.

4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

All services must be used in accordance with applicable laws and our Acceptable Use Policy.

4.1 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited unless expressly lawful and specifically authorized where applicable:

  • Phishing, identity theft, and financial fraud
  • Malware, ransomware, botnets, and malicious code distribution
  • Unauthorized access to systems or networks
  • DDoS attacks or unauthorized network scanning
  • Spam and unsolicited bulk messaging
  • Hosting or distributing pirated or otherwise unlawful copyrighted material
  • Unauthorized cryptocurrency mining
  • Fraudulent investment, banking, and payment schemes
  • Hosting illegal or abusive material
  • Operating illegal gambling services
  • Distributing material involving child sexual abuse
  • Using services to facilitate or promote illegal activities
  • Operating abusive proxy, anonymization, or tunneling services

4.2 High-Risk Services

Certain resource-intensive or high-risk applications may require advance approval or a suitable hosting product.

Examples include:

  • Public proxy services
  • High-volume file distribution
  • Mass email delivery platforms
  • IRC networks and bots
  • Public game servers
  • Large media streaming platforms
  • High-frequency automated workloads

Some applications may be restricted on Shared Hosting but permitted on suitable VPS or Dedicated Server products.

4.3 Offshore Hosting

Services located outside Albania remain subject to applicable laws, contractual conditions, and these Terms.

No hosting location grants permission to conduct illegal activities.

4.4 Enforcement

iHost.al may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including:

  • Issuing a warning
  • Requesting corrective action
  • Restricting an affected service
  • Temporarily suspending access
  • Removing or isolating prohibited material where legally permitted
  • Terminating services for serious or repeated violations
  • Cooperating with competent legal authorities

Serious threats to security, unlawful activities, or ongoing attacks may justify immediate suspension without prior notice.

5. Anti-Spam and Email Policy

5.1 Zero-Tolerance Spam Policy

iHost.al prohibits unsolicited commercial email, abusive bulk mailing, phishing, and unauthorized mailing campaigns.

Customers must obtain appropriate consent or another valid legal basis before sending marketing communications.

Purchased, harvested, rented, or otherwise unauthorized mailing lists are prohibited.

5.2 Shared Hosting Email Limits

Shared and Reseller Hosting accounts are subject to outgoing email limits.

The standard configured limit may be 100 outgoing emails per cPanel account per hour, unless a different limit is specified in the service plan or control panel.

Higher limits require an appropriate service and prior approval.

5.3 Mailing Lists

Mailing lists must:

  • Comply with applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws.
  • Use legitimate recipient acquisition methods.
  • Provide appropriate unsubscribe functionality.
  • Process opt-out requests promptly.
  • Implement reasonable sending rates.
  • Avoid excessive server load and delivery abuse.

Mailing lists containing more than 5,000 recipients may require a specialized email service or suitable server infrastructure.

Dividing a larger mailing list into smaller lists to bypass applicable limitations is prohibited.

5.4 VPS and Dedicated Server Email

VPS and Dedicated Server customers are responsible for securing their mail servers and protecting the reputation of assigned IP addresses.

Outbound SMTP port 25 may be restricted by default on VPS services.

Any exception is subject to security review, network policy, and technical availability.

5.5 Spam Violations

Accounts involved in spam, phishing, malicious email distribution, or repeated mail delivery abuse may be suspended or terminated.

iHost.al may require corrective actions before restoring affected services.

6. Shared Hosting Resource Usage

Shared Hosting operates in a multi-tenant environment where server resources are shared among multiple customers.

6.1 Fair Resource Allocation

Customers must not operate applications that materially degrade the performance, security, or availability of the shared infrastructure.

Resource allocation may include:

  • CPU limits
  • RAM limits
  • Disk I/O limits
  • IOPS limits
  • Entry process limits
  • Concurrent process limits
  • Storage limits
  • Bandwidth allowances

The specific limits applicable to an account are determined by the purchased plan and the hosting control panel.

6.2 Excessive Resource Consumption

Applications that continuously consume excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, or database resources may be restricted.

We may request optimization or recommend an alternative hosting product.

6.3 Shared Hosting Restrictions

Unless explicitly approved under the purchased plan, customers may not:

  • Run persistent background daemons.
  • Operate public game servers.
  • Operate cryptocurrency miners.
  • Host high-volume file-sharing services.
  • Run public torrent trackers or clients.
  • Operate resource-intensive streaming servers.
  • Use Shared Hosting primarily for backup storage.
  • Run cron jobs more frequently than every 15 minutes.
  • Use the service to bypass resource or security limitations.

6.4 Technical Limits

Resource values such as CPU, RAM, I/O, and IOPS are defined by the applicable hosting plan.

iHost.al may apply reasonable safeguards where unusual workloads threaten shared infrastructure.

Permanent changes to contracted service allowances will be communicated in accordance with the applicable contract and law.

7. VPS and Dedicated Server Policy

7.1 Customer Responsibility

Customers using self-managed VPS or Dedicated Servers are responsible for:

  • Operating system configuration
  • Installed software and applications
  • Security updates and patches
  • Firewall configuration
  • Access control
  • Data backups
  • Application security
  • Compliance with applicable laws

Unless managed support is expressly included, iHost.al does not provide full operating system or application administration.

7.2 Resource Allocation

VPS services are provided with the resources specified in the purchased plan.

Dedicated Servers are provisioned according to the agreed hardware and network specifications.

Customers may not interfere with the underlying virtualization platform, hosting network, or other customers’ resources.

7.3 Network Abuse

Network abuse, IP spoofing, unauthorized scanning, DDoS activity, and attacks against third-party systems are prohibited.

We may temporarily restrict network connectivity when necessary to protect infrastructure.

7.4 IP Address Allocation

IP addresses are assigned for use during the active service period and remain subject to iHost.al’s allocation policies and applicable network resource rules.

IP addresses are not sold or transferred to customers unless a separate written agreement explicitly provides otherwise.

7.5 Traffic and Bandwidth

Bandwidth and data transfer allowances are specified in the relevant service plan.

Excessive usage may result in an agreed overage charge, traffic restriction, or recommendation to upgrade, depending on the purchased service and agreed billing terms.

Any metered overage charges must be disclosed in the applicable service agreement.

8. Reseller Hosting Policy

8.1 Reseller Responsibilities

Resellers are responsible for:

  • Managing their customers.
  • Providing first-line technical support.
  • Maintaining client account security.
  • Monitoring resource consumption.
  • Responding to abuse notifications.
  • Ensuring hosted customer content complies with applicable laws and these Terms.

8.2 Customer Support

iHost.al primarily provides technical support to the authorized Reseller account holder.

End customers should contact their reseller directly unless otherwise agreed.

8.3 Abuse by Reseller Customers

If an account under a reseller is involved in abuse, iHost.al may suspend the offending account and notify the reseller.

Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension of the reseller environment where necessary to protect infrastructure.

8.4 Reseller Reactivation

A reactivation fee of €100 may apply to a reseller account suspended for serious or repeated abuse, where the fee was included in the agreed terms and is legally enforceable.

Reactivation is not guaranteed and remains subject to successful security review.

8.5 Free Hosting

Resellers may not provide publicly accessible free hosting services using iHost.al infrastructure without prior written approval.

Unapproved free hosting programs that generate abuse may be suspended.

An agreed administrative reactivation fee of €15 may apply to eligible violations, subject to applicable law.

9. Domain Registration Policy

9.1 Domain Availability

Domain registration is subject to availability and approval by the relevant domain registry.

Payment does not guarantee successful registration until the registry has confirmed the domain.

9.2 Domain Ownership

The registered domain holder is responsible for maintaining accurate registration information.

Customers must comply with the rules of the relevant TLD registry.

9.3 Domain Renewals

Customers are responsible for renewing domain names before expiration.

Expired domains may become unavailable, enter a redemption period, or be released according to registry policies.

9.4 Domain Refunds

Domain registration, renewal, restoration, and transfer fees are generally non-refundable once the applicable registry operation has been processed, except where required by law or applicable registry rules.

9.5 Fraudulent Domain Use

Domains used for phishing, impersonation, fraud, malware distribution, or other unlawful purposes may be suspended or reported to the relevant registrar, registry, or authority.

Domains containing protected names or trademarks may require additional review where there is credible evidence of impersonation or rights infringement.

10. Backups and Data Protection

10.1 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for maintaining independent, up-to-date backups of their websites, databases, email accounts, configurations, and other important data.

We strongly recommend keeping backups outside the primary hosting environment.

10.2 Complimentary Backups

Certain hosting plans may include automated backup features.

Unless expressly covered by a specific backup agreement, complimentary backups are provided on a best-effort basis.

Backup frequency and retention depend on the purchased plan and configured backup system.

10.3 Backup Availability

iHost.al does not guarantee that a particular backup will be available, complete, or recoverable unless such guarantees are expressly included in the applicable service agreement.

10.4 Backup Restoration

Backup restoration may be subject to availability and applicable service charges.

Customers should contact technical support to confirm whether a recoverable copy exists.

10.5 Data Deletion

Upon service termination, the customer may lose access to stored files and data.

Data may be deleted in accordance with applicable retention policies and legal obligations.

iHost.al does not guarantee recovery of terminated accounts.

11. Service Migration

11.1 Migration Assistance

iHost.al may provide complimentary migration assistance for eligible hosting products within 30 days of service activation.

11.2 Migration Limitations

Migration success depends on factors such as:

  • Source hosting configuration
  • Availability of backups
  • Software compatibility
  • Access credentials
  • Database compatibility
  • Application dependencies

11.3 Customer Obligations

Customers must provide the necessary access and authorization and maintain independent backups before migration.

11.4 Migration Fees

Migrations requested outside an included migration period or requiring additional technical work may be charged separately, with customer approval.

11.5 Migration Risks

Although reasonable care will be taken, some data, configurations, or application functionality may require manual adjustments.

Liability for migration-related issues is subject to Section 15 and applicable law.

12. Uptime and Service Availability

12.1 Network and Infrastructure

iHost.al makes commercially reasonable efforts to provide stable hosting, network connectivity, and infrastructure availability.

12.2 Maintenance

Scheduled or emergency maintenance may occasionally affect availability.

Where reasonably possible, customers will be informed in advance of planned maintenance that materially affects services.

12.3 Service Interruptions

Interruptions may result from:

  • Hardware failures
  • Network disruptions
  • Software updates
  • Security incidents
  • Cyberattacks
  • Power or connectivity failures
  • Upstream provider outages
  • Events beyond reasonable control

12.4 Service Level Agreements

Any guaranteed uptime percentage, service credits, or availability commitments apply only when expressly provided in the purchased product’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).

In the absence of a specific SLA, no particular uptime percentage is contractually guaranteed, subject to applicable law.

13. Abuse Handling and Security

13.1 Abuse Reports

Customers must respond within a reasonable period to legitimate abuse and security reports.

For significant security incidents, iHost.al may require a response within 48 hours or a shorter period where an immediate threat exists.

13.2 Immediate Protective Action

iHost.al may isolate or suspend affected resources without advance notice when reasonably necessary to prevent:

  • Active cyberattacks
  • Malware propagation
  • Phishing campaigns
  • Ongoing spam distribution
  • Unauthorized network access
  • Serious infrastructure disruption
  • Other urgent security threats

13.3 Security Administration Fee

A security administration fee of €50 may apply to services suspended due to serious or repeated abuse, where the fee was validly agreed and is permitted by law.

Payment of the fee does not automatically guarantee restoration.

13.4 Repeated Violations

Repeated violations may lead to permanent termination following appropriate review.

Where an immediate threat has been contained, reasonable corrective opportunities may be offered when appropriate.

13.5 Security Responsibilities

Customers must maintain secure applications, strong passwords, appropriate file permissions, and updated software.

Customers are responsible for vulnerabilities introduced through their applications, credentials, or configurations, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Fair Usage Policy

14.1 Unlimited Hosting

Where a hosting product is marketed as offering unlimited storage or bandwidth, this means that no fixed numerical quota is advertised for the relevant resource, subject to technical constraints and this Fair Usage Policy.

Unlimited resources do not mean unlimited physical server capacity.

14.2 Permitted Usage

Shared Hosting accounts must primarily be used to operate websites and associated services.

Large-scale file storage, content distribution, and unrelated backup repositories are not included unless explicitly stated in the service description.

14.3 Resource Abuse

An account may be considered to exceed fair usage when its activity materially affects server stability, creates security risks, or substantially degrades service for other customers.

We will consider the nature, duration, and impact of the activity before applying restrictions wherever practicable.

14.4 Resolution

Depending on the circumstances, iHost.al may:

  • Notify the customer.
  • Request application optimization.
  • Apply temporary resource limits.
  • Recommend an upgrade.
  • Offer migration to a VPS or Dedicated Server.
  • Suspend services where necessary to prevent material harm.

14.5 Transparency

Customers may request clarification regarding the technical restrictions applicable to their service.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1 Service Risks

Hosting services may be affected by technical faults, software vulnerabilities, network incidents, third-party failures, or other circumstances.

15.2 Excluded Losses

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iHost.al shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, or business interruption, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15.3 Data Loss

Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate independent backups.

iHost.al’s liability for loss of data, failures to provide contracted services, or other direct losses remains subject to applicable law and any binding service-specific commitments.

15.4 Mandatory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited, or any statutory right that cannot legally be waived.

16. Privacy and Personal Data

iHost.al processes personal data for legitimate purposes, including:

  • Account administration
  • Service provisioning
  • Billing and payment processing
  • Technical support
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security monitoring
  • Compliance with legal obligations

Personal data will be handled in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy and data protection laws.

Where appropriate, additional data processing terms may apply to customers who process personal data through hosted services.

17. Disclosure to Authorities

iHost.al may disclose information to competent authorities when required or lawfully permitted under applicable legislation.

Any disclosure will be evaluated in accordance with the relevant legal basis, lawful process, and applicable data protection requirements.

We may preserve relevant records when legally required.

18. Customer Conduct and Support

Customers must communicate with support representatives in a professional manner.

Threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, or repeated serious misconduct toward staff are prohibited.

iHost.al may restrict abusive communications or terminate a service relationship for serious misconduct, subject to applicable contractual and statutory obligations.

Legitimate complaints, criticism, billing disputes, and the exercise of legal rights are not prohibited.

19. Changes to Services and Pricing

19.1 Service Pricing

iHost.al may revise advertised prices for future purchases and renewals.

Prices for a prepaid contractual period will not be increased retrospectively.

Any changes affecting recurring services will be communicated as required by the applicable contract and law.

19.2 Service Specifications

iHost.al may update service configurations and technical specifications for operational or security reasons.

Material reductions to contracted service features will be handled in accordance with applicable contractual and consumer rights.

19.3 Policy Updates

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in applicable legislation, infrastructure, security requirements, or business operations.

Material changes will be communicated appropriately before taking effect where required.

The current version will be available on the official iHost.al website.

20. Suspension and Termination

iHost.al may suspend or terminate services for legitimate reasons, including:

  • Non-payment
  • Serious or repeated Acceptable Use Policy violations
  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Unlawful activities
  • Significant security threats
  • Repeated infrastructure abuse
  • Material breach of these Terms

Where appropriate, customers will be given notice and an opportunity to remedy a violation.

Immediate action may be necessary for urgent security or legal reasons.

Termination does not remove payment obligations already incurred and does not affect rights that survive termination under applicable law.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Unless mandatory legal provisions require otherwise, these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.

Customers are encouraged to contact the iHost.al support or billing department to resolve concerns before pursuing formal proceedings.

Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably may be submitted to the competent courts or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as provided by applicable law.

Nothing in this clause deprives consumers of mandatory rights or jurisdictional protections that apply to them.

22. Contact Information

For questions regarding these Terms, billing, security, or service conditions, customers may contact iHost.al through the official customer support channels.

Company: iHost.al
Website: https://ihost.al
Client Area: https://my.ihost.al

Customers can submit support requests through their authenticated client accounts.

23. Final Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

Failure by iHost.al to enforce a particular provision does not automatically constitute a waiver of its contractual rights.

Where there is a conflict between these Terms and a separately executed, valid service agreement, the specific agreement will prevail to the extent legally permitted.

By ordering or using iHost.al services, the Customer acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms of Service, subject to all applicable mandatory legal protections.
